Violin/Viola/Cello Camp
& Guitar Camp
No Experience Required
StringTime is perfect for 7-12 year olds who want to try violin, viola, cello, or guitar without getting locked into an instrument rental or long-term commitment to lessons. Students will receive private lessons, learn music theory and history, compose their own pieces, and play in small and large ensembles. They will have fun playing games and activities designed to reinforce what they are learning. StringTime violin/viola/cello camp also provides a continuing track for those who have played in school, are already proficient in 1st-2nd positions, are in Suzuki books 1-2, or play at VBDOA Grades 1-2. Our teachers use a flexible curriculum to ensure all students are challenged and inspired.
Instruments Provided
StringTime provides a violin, viola, cello, or guitar for students to borrow for the duration of camp. We make it easy. Upon registering your child for camp, you will be instructed how to measure your child to ensure they receive the proper size. We teach the students how to take care of the instrument. Students have the option to take it home each day or leave it at camp.
Study with Professionals
All of our faculty members have performed on world-class stages such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Your children will enjoy faculty performances everyday. They will hear a variety of music from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary eras. They will also love hearing their favorite pop songs and movie themes.
