Music Theory

Camp days will include classroom sessions that will introduce and reinforce essential music theory concepts such as rhythm, note naming, composition, harmony, and more.

Music History

Additionally, students will learn about famous composers, relevant historical events, and musical concepts that will inform and enrich their music making.

Students will learn to collaborate and make music with others by participating in both large group ensemble and instrument class, where the students break out by instrument in order to learn about technique pertaining to the instrument they study.

StringTime is also tons of fun! We understand that students will need a break from the classroom. We design games and listening exercises that will help reinforce skills learned throughout camp.

Faculty Performances

In order to encourage and inspire the students, our faculty members, who are also world-class performers, will demonstrate difficult techniques, perform music both ancient and modern, and play alongside your children.

...and it ends with a concert!
